It has been revealed who is leading the Bakhmut defence

The defence of Bakhmut is led by Brigadier General Andrei Gnatov.
Deputy Defence Minister Anna Malyar said this on Telegram.
This week marks the end of the second month since the fighting for Bakhmut intensified. No one believed that under such intense enemy attacks it would be possible to hold the town for more than a week, two at the most. But thanks to the courage and heroism of thousands of our soldiers, and also to the skilful leadership of our generals and officers - the defence of Bakhmut is holding on, and our capabilities have not yet been exhausted," said Malyar.
Colonel Pavel Palisa, brigade commander of the 93rd brigade and Colonel Oleksandr Pivnenko, brigade commander of the 3rd National Guard brigade are directly involved in the defence of Bakhmut.
The head of defence of the eastern front, whose area of responsibility includes Bakhmut, is Colonel General Oleksandr Syrskyy, commander of the Khortytsa military command.
Brigadier General Oleksandr Tarnavskyy is also in charge of part of the eastern front.
