The Russian army does not have enough people, so the Kremlin changes the legislation and explains this with “modern trends”

This is reported by the TG channel SPRAVDI.

On May 25, the State Duma of the Russian Federation adopted a law on the abolition of the age limit for concluding the first contract for military service .

Now absolutely everyone can join the Russian armed forces, regardless of age. The anti-aging law was adopted in three readings at once.

The explanatory note to the law notes that "for the use of high-precision weapons, the operation of weapons and military equipment, highly professional specialists are needed," and they, as a rule, become such by the age of 40-45.

At the same time, it is currently stipulated that citizens aged 18 to 40 have the right to conclude the first contract for military service, and foreign citizens - aged 18 to 30.

The implementation of the law will contribute to "attracting specialists in demanded specialties, primarily related to civilians (medical support, engineering, maintenance, operation, communications) for military service under a contract," the document says, cited by Russian Interfax .

The Russian Ministry of Defense explained this with "modern trends"

In fact, the sharp shortage of “cooks, drivers and paramedics” is simply explained :

  • Losses in Ukraine - about 10 thousand military per month.
  • The unwillingness to declare a general mobilization, because in this case it would be necessary to officially call the “special operation” a war.
  • The unwillingness of Russian youth to replenish the army, because military registration and enlistment offices more often receive Molotov cocktails than young men who are ready to die on Ukrainian soil.
  • Putin does not have enough troops to simultaneously attack and hold the already occupied territories.
