The enemy continues to attempt offensives in the Bakhmut and Zaporizhzhya directions and increases the intensity of aviation use.



The Russians carried out 26 air strikes during 21 January

An evening briefing from the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces reported:

The occupiers are not abandoning their seizure plans and are focusing their main efforts on attempts to fully occupy the Donetsk region. The enemy conducted unsuccessful offensives in the Avdiivka direction. It continues offensive attempts in the Bakhmut and Zaporizhia directions and is increasing the intensity of aviation. In other directions the Russians are on the defensive.

The General Staff also stressed that the threat of enemy strikes using ground and airborne missiles and kamikaze drones remains throughout Ukraine.

At the same time, the Defence Forces' aviation carried out 13 strikes against Russian concentration areas and two strikes against their SAM positions during 21 January.
