Zaporizhzhya NPP is completely de-energized due to Russian shelling
The possibilities of the Ukrainian side to maintain the ZNPP in a safe mode are now significantly limited.
It is reported by NNEGC "Energoatom". The department said:
Yesterday, November 2, 2022, as a result of Russian shelling, the last two high-voltage communication lines of the Zaporozhye NPP with the Ukrainian energy system were damaged. At 23:04, the station switched to a complete blackout. All 20 diesel generators were turned on.
"Energoatom" believes that the fuel for the operation of diesel generators in the mode of complete de-energization of the ZNPP remains for 15 days. The countdown has begun.
In addition, now, due to the occupation of the plant and the interference of representatives of Rosatom in its work, the Ukrainian side's ability to maintain the ZNPP in a safe mode is significantly limited.
Energoatom has again appealed to the international community with a call to take urgent measures for the speedy demilitarization of the Zaporizhzhya NPP.
