The OPU urged the world to respond to Russia's nuclear blackmail

Russia is blackmailing the whole world with nuclear weapons.
Advisor to the head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Mykhailo Podolyak turned to the member countries of the Nuclear Club to explain to the Kremlin the consequences of the threat of nuclear weapons. Podolyak wrote about this on Twitter on the morning of Sunday, September 25.
The veiled threats of nuclear weapons from the UN rostrum from a member of the UN Security Council - it is impossible to imagine a greater mockery of global institutions, he said.
At the same time, Podolyak noted that nuclear weapons threaten not only our country, but the whole world.
Members of the Nuclear Club should outline the consequences for Russia. "Pandora's box" should be closed, - added the adviser to the head of the OP.
It should be noted that the reason for Podolyak's appeal was the statement by Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov about the possible use of nuclear weapons in the interests of Russia. He stated this at a press conference at the UN. In particular, he said that the nuclear doctrine of the Russian Federation will be extended to "new regions", that is, the occupied territories of Ukraine, if they vote in favor of joining Russia during the "referenda".
The entire territory of the Russian Federation, which is enshrined and can be additionally enshrined in the Constitution of the Russian Federation, is certainly under the full protection of the state, this is absolutely natural. All laws, doctrines, concepts, strategies of the Russian Federation apply to its entire territory, he said.
It should be noted that the head of European diplomacy, Josep Borrell, believes that one should not underestimate the threats voiced by Russian President Vladimir Putin, including those regarding nuclear weapons.
