The main forces of the offensive reserve have not yet entered the battle with Russia, so "everything is still to come".

This was said by the commander of the Ukrainian Army, Oleksandr Syrskyy, in an interview with The Guardian.

According to him, a successful counter-offensive requires a lot of time.

Everyone wants to achieve a big victory instantly and immediately. So do we. But we have to be prepared for this process to take some time, because there are many forces concentrated on both sides, a lot of material resources and a lot of engineering obstacles," Syrsky said.

He added that Ukraine has not yet withdrawn its main offensive forces. Instead, the Ukrainian armed forces are looking for "weak spots in the enemy defence".

Syrskyy assessed the current situation on the front as "heavy and tense" - the enemy is trying to seize the initiative.

The Russians are trying to seize the initiative. That is why the situation is really difficult. We should not underestimate the enemy. The enemy has foreseen the most dangerous directions of our movements and is building a strong defense, which is difficult to penetrate," added the commander.

We shall remind you that earlier Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that the reason for the slowdown of the counter-offensive of the Ukrainian Armed Forces was the mining of territory by the Russians. According to the president, the occupiers have mined around 200 thousand square kilometres.

Earlier Sotsportal wrote that there was an explosion on the bridge in Chongar. As it turned out, the bridge connecting Crimea and Kherson Region was blown up. However, the occupants said that they could repair the roadbed in a few weeks.
