Some Bakhmut residents are hiding from evacuation - OGA
There are still quite a few civilians in Bakhmut. Some of them are deliberately hiding from evacuation.
This was reported by the head of the Donetsk regional state administration, Pavlo Kyrylenko, during a briefing with Ukrinform.
Currently, 3,000 people remain in the town, including 32 children.
Bakhmut is a town of about 84,000 inhabitants as of 24 February 2022. Now, according to our calculations, about 3 thousand people remain in the town of Bakhmut. These are the people, I can responsibly say, who don't want to leave the town from the word "at all". There is an extremely dangerous amount of work to evacuate them. But people are not just refusing to leave, they are even hiding not to go," Kirilenko said.
He also noted that children with orphan status were evacuated in full. In total, there were about 12,000 of them in the city.
