- A new package of weapons for Ukraine from the United States will be worth $1 billion

The White House is preparing about $1 billion in military assistance to Ukraine, which will include anti-ship missile systems, artillery missiles and howitzer shells.
This was reported by Reuters , citing its sources.
The aid package can be divided into two categories: the transfer of surplus funds from US stockpiles and other weapons funded by the Ukraine Security Assistance Initiative, a separate program approved by Congress.
The US plans to transfer more missiles for multiple rocket launchers and artillery shells for M777 howitzers and spare parts.
The U.S. is also expected to donate land-based Harpoon anti-ship missile launchers and secure radios and night vision equipment.
NATO defense ministers are meeting in Brussels on Wednesday to discuss possible additional arms supplies to Ukraine.
