Scholz, Macron and Draghi will arrive in Kyiv

This is reported by the Financial Times , citing its sources.
The visit will most likely take place on June 16, before the decision of the European Commission to grant Ukraine the status of a candidate member of the EU.
Brussels is likely to say that Ukraine should become an EU candidate on the condition that it implement a series of reforms aimed at strengthening the rule of law and combating widespread corruption.
EU countries are still divided on whether these reforms should be seen as a precondition before Ukraine becomes an EU candidate, or whether a checklist of reforms should be noted before the next step on the path to the EU - the formal opening of accession negotiations. which would also require unanimity among EU member states.
The visit of Macron, Scholz and Draghi is necessary to gather enough support for the option of granting EU candidate status now, and the list of reforms that need to be implemented will be provided at a later stage, the sources explain.
