Wagner PMCs take over a village with a population of three

The village of Sacco and Vancetti is on the right bank of the Bakhmutovka river, on the road from Soledar to the town of Seversk.

The village is named after Italian-born anarchists and labour movement members Nicola Sacco and Bartolomeo Vanzetti, who were convicted and executed in the US in 1927 for the murder of a cashier and two shoe factory guards in South Braintree. The Soviets considered Sacco and Vanzetti proletarians and revolutionaries unjustly persecuted by US authorities

A press release from the Wagner PMC said:

Pictured is the only surviving house in Sacco and Vanzetti.

The village of Sacco and Vancetti is north of Bakhmut and in close proximity to the village of Krasnopolye.
