- Ukrainian pensioner brought 1,800 people out of shelling

67-year-old Volodymyr Brichka from the Rivne region managed to save more than 1,800 people from shelling.
The man continued to carry out the evacuation even after the Russians killed his fellow volunteer, seys TSN .
They shot at the wheel and threw something, maybe a grenade or something, and it caught fire, and he just burned there with those products,” the man says.
Vladimir began to help back in 2014, and now he not only carries food to the front, but also evacuates civilians when he leaves.
He took out the seat completely and put such benches. He imprisoned 30 people, and people were so scared, because it was shelling, - the daughter tells about one of her father's trips.
In his native village, the rescued were given a temporary shelter, then they were taken further to safer Ukrainian cities or abroad.
One of the most difficult evacuations is saving the orphanage. 52 babies and toddlers under 3 years old were taken out of Vorzel.
This is the orphanage we took away. We just took random people to keep them. (...) They are frightened, we are strangers, who are we, strange uncles came and they are grabbed, and loaded into some kind of bus, they are being taken somewhere, - Vladimir recalls.
And from the memories of another evacuation, on the contrary, a smile appears. Then they rescued the 85-year-old namesake, whom the volunteers picked up along with the bike. On it, the man drove 75 kilometers and dragged 9 more along the forest. And now the two Vladimirs are communicating via video link.
