Russia could lose a third of its ground combat forces in Ukraine, and the remaining forces are depleted and have been unable to make progress in the offensive in recent weeks.
This was stated by representatives of British intelligence.

Russia is now likely to have suffered losses equal to one-third of the ground combat forces it suffered in February. The Russian offensive in the Donbas has lost momentum and is well behind schedule. Despite small initial gains, Russia has not been able to make significant territorial gains over the past month while maintaining persistently high levels of attrition, the UK Department of Defense said in an update.
The UK government has also said that these losses are "almost certain" to worsen as tactical and support equipment continues to run low.
These delays will almost certainly be exacerbated by the loss of critical assets such as bridge equipment and reconnaissance, surveillance and reconnaissance drones. Russian bridging equipment was in short supply throughout the conflict, slowing down and limiting offensive maneuvers, it said.
The report added that Russian forces are increasingly being held back by low morale and reduced combat capability.
Under the current conditions, Russia is unlikely to sharply accelerate the pace of its advance over the next 30 days, according to Britain.
