Svetlana Tikhanovskaya addressed a statement to fellow citizens in connection with the announced mobilization in the Russian Federation.
The legally elected President of Belarus Svetlana Tikhanovskaya urged her compatriots not to carry out criminal orders if Lukashenka’s criminal regime declares mobilization in Belarus as well.
Svetlana Tikhanovskaya: "No Belarusian should die for Putin's ambitions and Lukashenka's mistakes." Tikhanovskaya wrote about this in Telegram.
Today, Putin has officially acknowledged that a person's life is worth nothing when his "special operation" failed in seven months. Military mobilization just for the sake of appearances is called partial, in the end, people will be sent to die for nothing, regardless of age, profession and military experience. And now the main question for our country is whether the two dictators will be drawn into this bloody massacre of Belarusians? - Svetlana Tikhanovskaya reacted to the speech of the President of Russia.
Tikhanovskaya is sure that neither the Belarusian army nor the Belarusian society supports the war against Ukraine.
Belarusians have never had a craving for violence or ambitions to conquer other people's territories. The last war that Belarusians were drawn into was a tragic experience for the people and a shameful experience for the authorities in Afghanistan. People were sent to fight for obscure political goals, and they returned from there in zinc coffins,” Tikhanovskaya said.
Tikhanovskaya believes that drawing the citizens of Belarus into the war is akin to the personal murder of a Belarusian military man.
Lukashenka has already gone against the will of the people many times, but if he sends Belarusians to die in the war, it’s the same as he enters the house of every Belarusian family and kills a father or son with his own hands,” Tikhanovskaya said.
Tikhanovskaya believes that Lukashenka is not able to protect Belarus from the war, he only draws her into it even more.
I call on all Belarusians to remember: this man has surrendered part of the sovereignty of Belarus. I call on the Belarusian troops and everyone who may fall under mobilization if it is announced: do not follow criminal orders. If you have already been sent to war, lay down your arms, the Belarusian society will support you,” Tikhanovskaya summed up.
