Russian snipers fired on a police vehicle that was supposed to evacuate people from Volchansk. No one was injured as a result of the attack.
This is reported by the press service of the National police of Ukraine.
Three police officers in an armoured car were supposed to be heading to Volchansk to evacuate the townspeople when they came under enemy fire. The car on the outskirts of the city came under small arms fire. There were no casualties as a result of the attack.
We drove into the street from where we had to pick up citizens, we heard shots in our direction from the outskirts of Volchansk. We were hit in the windscreen where the driver was sitting, as well as the passenger windows and doors. When we turned around, we had a wheel punched and were also shot at in the trail, - said the head of the police department № 1 of Chuguevsky district police department Maxim Stetsyna.
It is noted that this car has already been returned to work on evacuation.

The evacuation from Volchansk has been going on for several days. As the Russian army is constantly shelling the border area of Kharkiv region and on 10 May tried to break through the Ukrainian defence near Volchansk. According to the OBA, about 200 civilians remain in the city.
