Russia has stepped up offensive actions in Kharkiv Region in an attempt to break through the Ukrainian defence.



Russian troops have launched an assault in Kharkiv Region in an attempt to find weaknesses in the Ukrainian defence. This was reported by the head of the Kharkiv OVA, Oleh Sinegubov, in a commentary for Novosti.LIVE on 22 April. According to him, the enemy is constantly testing new directions.

The offensive is already underway. The enemy is constantly testing all new directions for themselves to choose priorities and move deep into the Ukrainian territory, - he said.

At the same time Sinegubov stressed that all attempts of the enemy were calculated and stopped by the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The enemy has actually been destroyed and continues to be destroyed on all absolute approaches to the territories of Kharkiv region, - he stressed.

Earlier, in an interview on 9 April, the AFU commander-in-chief Oleksandr Syrskyy said that the Russian army had actually launched an offensive in Sumy and Kharkiv regions.

Meanwhile, the AFU General Staff reports that 165 military clashes have been recorded along the entire front line over the past 24 hours. Yesterday, the Russians launched one missile and 137 air strikes on the territory of Ukraine. Also yesterday the Russians used three missiles and dropped 253 guided aerial bombs. In addition, they attracted 2,651 kamikaze drones for defeat and carried out 5,832 shelling of positions of our troops and settlements, including 122 from multiple rocket launchers.

In Kharkiv and Gulyaypol directions on 21 April, no active offensive actions of the enemy were recorded, - notified the General Staff.

In general, over the past day the losses of the Russian invaders totalled 1,130 people. Also, Ukrainian soldiers disarmed 4 tanks, 19 armoured combat vehicles, 26 artillery systems, one air defence system, 118 operational-tactical drones and 134 units of automotive equipment of the occupants.

The GUR does not rule out the possibility of participation of DPRK servicemen in the Russian offensive on Kharkiv and Sumshchina

The GUR believes that the Russians will attract the North Koreans to the offensive in Sumy and Kharkiv oblasts
