Russia repeats mistakes in Chechnya and uses its tanks ineptly - British Ministry of Defense

According to the UK Department of Defense, the heavy wear and tear of Russian main battle tanks in Ukraine are most likely due to Russia's failure to install and properly use adequate ERA. Russia had the same problem in the First Chechen War.
In addition, the security department believes that many Russian tankers lack the training to maintain dynamic protection, which leads either to poor fit of explosive elements or to its complete absence, the British Ministry of Defense added.
These shortcomings likely contribute to the widespread cases of tower ejection, which are well documented in the video of eyewitnesses from Ukraine, the department added.
