Justifying Russian aggression: UOC-MP cleric exposed in Kharkiv region

A representative of the Moscow Patriarchate in Kharkiv gave interviews to Russian propagandists and publicly justified Russian aggression.
This was reported by the Prosecutor-General's Office.
The abbot from Izyumskyy district publicly supported the aggressor and glorified the occupier, discrediting the Ukrainian Armed Forces. It is known that the cleric belonged to the UOC-MP community.
Last August, during the occupation of Izyum Region, the cleric gave an interview to Russian propagandists in which he denied Russia's armed aggression and justified the actions of the aggressor country. In his "speech", he referred to the Russian Federation's war against Ukraine as a "military operation," the report said.
Additionally, the suspects assured that all parishioners were subordinate exclusively to the Russian church.
Under the procedural guidance of the Izyum district prosecutor's office in Kharkiv region, the man was informed on suspicion of distributing materials that contain justification of the armed aggression of Russia against Ukraine using the media (part 3 of article 436-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine), - added in the Prosecutor General's office.
The pre-trial investigation continues.
