A court has chosen a preventive measure for a lawmaker of the banned party "OPZZh". The state treason suspect will be held in custody without the right to bail.

At the request of prosecutors of the Office of the Prosecutor General of the Prosecutor General's office, the Pechersk district court elected the people's Deputy of VII, VIII, IX convocations from the banned political party "OPZZH" measure of restraint - detention without the right to bail, - stated in the message.
Earlier arrested Deputy Alexander Ponomarev was informed about suspicion.
According to the Prosecutor General's office, the MP defected to the enemy and moved to the temporarily occupied Berdyansk on 25 February 2022. There he organised entrepreneurial activities and promoted the occupation of the city.
Later, the MP returned to Kyiv, where he continued "coordinating the activities of controlled commercial structures re-registered in the temporarily occupied territory of Zaporizhzhya region".
