It has become known what monetary aid from the state can be paid to prisoners of war and their relatives, and it is a one-off payment.

This is reported by the Ukrainian Ministry of Reintegration.

It noted that citizens who have been deprived of personal liberty as a result of armed aggression against Ukraine have the right to receive it. This applies both to servicemen and civilians.

Family members of these persons also have this right if they are held in places of detention.

The fact of deprivation of personal liberty as a result of armed aggression against Ukraine is established by a special commission operating under the Ministry of Reintegration," the statement said.

After release, the prisoner receives a lump sum of UAH 100 thousand. At the same time, he is also entitled to annual assistance in the amount of UAH 100 thousand for each year of stay in places of detention.

If the person has not yet been released, one of his family members may receive annual assistance for each year of captivity.
