Blogger who saved two people on Dnieper river awarded in Zaporizhzhya
Stanislav Skochko, a blogger and sportsman from Melitopol, was awarded for rescuing two fishermen who fell through the ice.
This was reported by Ria-Melitopol.
Despite the thawed ice, the fishermen got out on the reservoir and fell into an ice trap on the Dnieper. But fortunately, a concerned Melitopol resident was walking nearby.
It is said that when Stanislav noticed that the men fell through the ice, he rushed to help the fishermen to get out on dry land.
Melitopol man has been practicing winter swimming for many years, so his actions were professional and clear.
The blogger also reported the incident on social media.
His gesture was not only admired by his followers, but also praised by professional rescuers, who tracked Stanislav down to present him with a commendation.
