Moral and psychological state of the Russian army continues to deteriorate - Malyar

Combat losses and physical strain have affected the decline in the morale and psychological state of the personnel of the Russian occupation troops in the temporarily occupied territory of Ukraine.
This forced the Russian command to take additional measures. This was written by Ukrainian Deputy Defence Minister Anna Malyar in Telegram.
According to her, the occupiers have started to check their personnel for "reliability".
Since the beginning of August this year, the intensity of the so-called military-patriotic work has been increased in the units of the occupants of the platoon level under the guise of allegedly promptly informing servicemen about the current military-political situation. In this way, the occupants' units are covertly monitoring the reliability of servicemen regarding their readiness to participate in combat operations," Malyar wrote.
However, the morale of Russians is also affected by excessive physical strain and heavy losses. During the period of combat operations, depressive moods increase in enemy units and the level of motivation to play a role in the war decreases. This, according to Malar, directly affects the state of military discipline and law and order.
In addition, cases of drug and alcohol abuse, AWOL and desertion have increased.
In this regard, the enemy command has openly started to apply harsh repressive measures, including against the civilian population," she added.
Thus, the occupants have started patrolling in the settlement of Hornostayevka in the Kherson region. The Russians are going round the houses where they are looking for deserters. Firearms were repeatedly used for detention, including in public places.
