Bulgarian Foreign Ministry claims continuous hybrid attacks from Russia

According to journalists, Bulgarian Foreign Minister Nikolay Milkov complains that his country is facing unprecedented hybrid attacks from Russia.

In parallel with Russia's aggressive military actions, we are facing an unprecedented increase in various hybrid attacks aimed at undermining Bulgaria's stability and thus our democratic values and processes.

Russia is using different tools. For example, it has intensified its propaganda in Bulgaria to increase domestic political destabilisation, provoke discontent and reduce solidarity with Ukraine. In addition, Russia is trying to influence Bulgaria with its supplies of energy and basic foodstuffs, as well as through cyber means.

It is worth recalling that the fourth snap parliamentary elections were held in Bulgaria on 2 April.
