If tomorrow is a nuclear disaster: the Ministry of Health told what to do


Experts told how to stock up in case of a real threat.
What should be the algorithm of actions in case of a nuclear catastrophe was told in the Ministry of Health . In particular, the experts gave a list of what you need to have on hand if you have to escape from the consequences of a radiation accident.
Despite international supervision over the operation of the Zaporizhzhya Nuclear Power Plant (ZNPP) in Energodar, it is better to be prepared for any emergency, including those related to the spread of radiation, the ministry notes.
The Ministry of Health emphasized that in order to protect against radiation, three conditions must be met:
- to be in hiding;
- track official (reliable) information;
- follow the recommendations of the authorities.
The Ministry of Health emphasized that it is dangerous to be in open space at the time of the accident and it is better to take shelter indoors. To do this, you need to prepare in advance.
What do you need to have on hand?
- wide adhesive tape, film, thick fabric, etc.;
- soap, shampoo and other hygiene products;
- plastic sealed bags;
- a set of clothes and shoes to change them;
- a supply of food and water (for as long as possible);
- medicines - for first aid and those medicines that are necessary in case of chronic diseases;
- means of communication - Internet, telephones;
- documents of all family members.
