Erdogan urges Putin to stop firing in Ukraine

Erdogan and Putin discussed Turkish-Russian relations, regional issues, the situation in Syria and the war in Ukraine.
Erdogan's press service noted that the Turkish leader offered Putin a "unilateral cessation of hostilities" in Ukraine as a step towards peace and negotiations:
Calls for peace and negotiations should be backed by a unilateral declaration of a ceasefire and a fair settlement of differences.
The Kremlin has not yet commented on the progress of Putin and Erdogan's talks.
To recall, Selcuk Bayraktar, the Chairman of Baykar's Board of Directors, earlier responded in a live broadcast that it was a rumour that he was allegedly being groomed to replace Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
Selcuk Bayraktar also stressed that he has no plans to engage in politics. Selcuk Bayraktar is the son-in-law of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

Oleg Kotov writes about the war in Ukraine and how it is changing the world.
