about author Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said that Ukraine and Russia managed to reach an agreement on the exchange of 200 prisoners of war.
Erdogan made such a statement after meeting with Putin in Uzbekistan. Erdogan said this in an interview with PBS.
In Uzbekistan, I met with President Putin, and we had very extensive discussions with him. And he actually shows me that he is ready to end the war as soon as possible. That was my impression... By agreement of the parties, 200 hostages will be exchanged,” he said.
Erdogan also suggested that Putin is determined "to end this as soon as possible (most likely, the war is meant - ed.)".
The lands that were invaded will be returned to Ukraine. No intrusion can be justified. The invasion cannot be justified, Erdogan stressed.
