Advice on nutrition on the front line was given by a Khrum fighter (video)

During combat missions on the front line, it is not always possible to organise hot meals, which means that fighters have to optimise their food intake.
A border guard with the pseudonym "Khrum" shared useful tips and memories about the peculiarities of the frontline ration. This is reported by the State Border Service.
First of all, drinking water is indispensable at the positions.
A bottle of mineral water to drink in the morning, but it is desirable to stretch such water for the whole time. A hydrator and a couple of bottles of water are a must," says the border guard.
In order not to carry extra weight, especially when performing a mission, you have to sacrifice your diet. It's better to take energy bars with you - they are light, nutritious, calorific and don't take up much space.
They're great. Five bars were enough for me for four days. Yes, I was hungry, but if you lose strength, you eat one bar and it's enough for 24 hours, - shares his knowledge "Khrum".
The warrior categorically does not advise to take energy drinks with him to fulfil combat missions.
Firstly, they are bulky and take up a lot of space in the rucksack, and also take away useful weight. And most importantly, if you drink energy drinks, you will bleed out faster when wounded. So is coffee. In principle, you can take it, it does not weigh much, but tea is best, - the warrior shares.
An interesting advice from a border guard is to take soya sauce with you if possible.
If everything is bad with food at the positions and there is only instant vermicelli, it is worth having soya sauce. The noodles will taste much better with it," advises "Khrum".
The border guard also told about stories related to food on the front line.
Once, when dry food was already a bit boring, we found freeze-dried borscht in transparent bags in the boxes with food supplies. We boiled water and cooked it. The dish turned out more like a salad, because we poured in about 300 millilitres of water, as there was no other container, and we needed more. However, the borscht turned out surprisingly tasty. We also had a piece of lard with us. The only thing missing was sour cream," recalls the border guard.
