Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has recorded another address amid the escalating confrontation in Russia.

Today the world has seen that Russia's masters have no control over anything. Nothing at all. Just total chaos. The complete absence of any predictability. And this on Russian territory, which is stuffed with weapons," Zelenskyy said.

He said that Ukraine is in a position to protect itself and Europe from the chaos that may engulf Russia. He also addressed the citizens of Russia.

Let me say it in Russian. The man from the Kremlin is obviously very afraid and is probably hiding somewhere, not showing himself. I am sure he is not in Moscow. He is calling somewhere, asking for something... He knows what he is afraid of, because he himself created this threat. All the evil, all the loss, all the hatred - he's spreading it himself. And the longer he can run between his bunkers - the more you all will lose... all those who are connected to Russia. What will we Ukrainians do? We will defend our country. We will defend our freedom. We will not be silent and we will not do nothing. We know how to win - and we will. Our victory in this war will be certain. And what will you do? The longer your troops are on Ukrainian soil - the more devastation they will bring to Russia. The longer this man is in the Kremlin, the more catastrophes will occur, " Zelensky said.

For its part, the Ukrainian Defence Ministry ironically noted on Twitter that it was puzzled why Russian soldiers were still in the trenches in Ukraine rather than joining one of the sides in the Russian Federation.

The Ukrainian Armed Forces have launched a large-scale counter-offensive in the east.

It comes against the backdrop of an attempted coup d'etat in the Russian Federation. As we know, the Russian private military company Wagner, which has been attacking the Ukrainian army in the town of Bakhmut for many months, revolted today and marched on Moscow.
