The military wants to increase the range to 150 km.
The first deputy head of the National Defence Industry Association of Ukraine, Ivan Vinnik, told the War Zone newspaper.
According to Vinnik, the Ukrainian Armed Forces have started using the Olkha-M multiple launch rocket system with a range of 110 km.
According to Vinnik, the Olkha-M is a modification of the Soviet Smerch MLRS, its missiles have a range of 110 km and a 300-mm warhead weighing 220 kg. Also, this MLRS hits targets with great accuracy.
"Olkha-M" has already been used in combat, but where exactly is unknown.
The military also plans to increase the range of the Olkha-M to 150km.
