Is the end in sight: the United States commented on the likely end of the war in Ukraine

Putin is not at war with NATO in any way - Kirby.
The United States does not believe in a speedy end to the war on the territory of Ukraine. According to White House National Security Speaker John Kirby, Putin has no intention of ending the war. He stated this in an interview with the Russian TV channel Dozhd.
This is not a war with the US, this is not a war with NATO. Putin chose to start a war with Ukraine and the Ukrainians. And, unfortunately, nothing that we are seeing today allows us to harbor any hope that he is ready to end this war, the killing of Ukrainian civilians, Kirby said.
At the same time, he drew attention to Putin's words that the conflict is dragging on because of the West, namely because Ukrainians are given weapons. At the same time, Kirby noted that the only one who drags out the conflict is the Kremlin.
This conflict is only protracted by Putin's desire to continue it, Kirby emphasized.
The speaker noted that the war can be ended at any moment. For this, it is only required to withdraw the Russian troops from Ukraine and sit down with the President of Ukraine at the negotiating table. At the same time, John Kirby emphasized that Zelensky would decide for himself whether he wanted such negotiations.
However, Putin demonstrates an unwillingness to end the war and negotiate,” the speaker added.
