Putin is preparing a new attack on Ukraine - ISW

The words of the Russian leader about the fight against the "anti-Russian enclave" in Ukraine testify to his intentions to continue the attacks, experts say.
The report of the American Institute for the Study of War (ISW) states that Putin is not ready to stop the war unleashed on the territory of Ukraine, moreover, he is ready to attack its territory with renewed vigor. At the same time, experts note the rhetoric of the Russian leader and emphasize that the words about the need to eliminate a certain “anti-Russian enclave” in Ukraine only indicate that he is preparing a new offensive in the fall and winter.
During a meeting with schoolchildren in Kaliningrad, Putin said that the goal of the "special military operation" was to eliminate the "anti-Russian enclave" that was being formed in Ukraine, which posed an existential threat to the Russian state. Similarly, he used the concept of "anti-Russian sentiment" in his Feb. 24 speech announcing a "special operation" in Ukraine, military analysts said.
Also, experts noted in their report that Russia continues to transfer military and equipment to Ukraine, in particular, to the south of the country, where Ukrainian troops launched a counteroffensive.
We add that the word "enclave" denotes a part of the territory of a state that is completely surrounded by the territory of another state.
