Vereshchuk clarified the expansion of the evacuation zone

At this time, residents of the Donetsk region are being taken out without fail.
The government may expand the mandatory evacuation zone. People living in Mykolaiv, Zaporizhia, and Kharkiv regions can begin to export. At the same time, more than 500,000 people can be expelled from some areas of these regions. The Minister of Reintegration Irina Vereshchuk announced this on air on Channel 24.
This is not about Kharkiv, Zaporozhye and Mykolaiv regions as a whole, but about individual areas, she stressed.
Vereshchuk noted that the final decision to evacuate new territories was not accepted. The Cabinet of Ministers is waiting for the reports of the regional and district military administrations, in which an analysis of the readiness of the territories for winter should be given. And if the local authorities determine that it will not be possible to spend the winter usually there, then people will be taken to safer areas.
We predict that it will be at least 500,000 people. That is, half a million people can move from the eastern and southern regions to the center and to the west,” Vereshchuk said.
She stressed that in the event of mandatory evacuation, the state would provide people who agree to leave with free transportation, find housing, organize meals, guarantee medical support, and the first payment of UAH 2,200 in cash.
