The cost of one HIMARS rocket is $150,000, and a full launch is $1,000,000.
In order to strengthen support for Ukraine at the front, the United States will increase the production of HIMARS missile systems and high-precision GMLRS projectiles for them. This was reported by the press service of the Pentagon.
In particular, Deputy Secretary of Defense for Acquisition and Supply William LaPlante noted that the US Department of Defense received almost $400 million to replenish the stocks of HIMARS and GMLRS.
In addition, we plan to raise almost $200 million more to expand and accelerate production and expect contracts to be awarded this fall and early next year,” he said.
He stressed that the expansion of production is connected, first of all, with the help of Ukraine in the war against Russia.
It should be noted that in the near future Ukraine will receive 22 HIMARS multiple launch rocket systems from the United States and partners.
