on 10-12 March, a festival of Ukrainian cinema will be held in Toronto, during which seven works by Ukrainian directors will be shown.
It is reported by the festival organisers.
As the organisers say, the festival is an opportunity to showcase one facet of contemporary Ukrainian culture, telling stories of courage, love, compassion and fierce resistance through film art.
Films to be presented at the festival are:
- "Earth is Blue as Orange" (2020);
- "Pamphire" (2022);
- "My Thoughts Are Quiet" (2019);
- "Home" (2019);
- "Julia Blue" (2018);
- "Atlantis" (2019);
- "Reflection" (2021).
It is noted that the funds raised during the festival will go to the Second Front Foundation, a Ukrainian organisation that raises funds for medical and protective equipment for soldiers on the front line, and to the Artists' Aid Foundation, a subsidiary of the Canada-Ukraine CUF, a humanitarian aid organisation that has been operating since 1995.
