According to preliminary information, the fire on the aircraft-carrying cruiser Admiral Kuznetsov occurred in Murmansk, where the ship is currently undergoing repairs.
Alexei Rakhmanov, head of the United Shipbuilding Company, says a "small fire" occurred during repairs. According to him, no damage or casualties. The ship's fire system went off and the fire was extinguished.
Twenty people were evacuated.
It is worth noting that the flagship was built in Nikolaev and launched in 1985. Since 2018, the cruiser has been in Severomorsk for scheduled repairs.
