Macron also started talking again about security guarantees for Russia.
President Emmanuel Macron said this in an interview with Le Monde newspaper.
According to Macron, Ukraine's accession to NATO is unlikely because the Russian Federation would perceive it as a confrontation.
Regardless of whether Ukraine joins NATO - which is not the most likely scenario - it should be given security guarantees, which are all the more credible since it has been attacked by Russia.
The French President has also started talking again about giving security guarantees not only to Ukraine but also to Russia.
