The Russians shelled the town of Pervomaiskoye in Kharkiv Region today. The number of injured rose to 38.
This is reported by the Office of the Prosecutor General.
As of now, 38 people are known to have been injured as a result of the shelling. Twelve children are among the injured, the youngest being 3 months old.
The head of the Kharkiv OVA, Oleh Sinegubov, clarified that the Russians had launched an Iskander missile strike. Nine residential buildings were damaged by the missile.
Windows were broken in multi-storey buildings, that is why we will provide OSB boards as soon as possible in order to carry out quick repairs. Also units of SES of State Emergency Situations Service will still investigate these buildings on facts of possible infringement of constructive elements. And only after that we will make a decision about the return to the houses. Also employees of Kharkiv regional State Emergency Service of Ukraine are on duty near every entrance to ensure order," Sinegubov said.
He added that affected residents of the houses are offered temporary accommodation in Pervomayske. As well as evacuation to Kharkiv, a survey on the need for humanitarian aid is being conducted.
As previously reported, the Russians shelled the town of Pervomayske at around 1:35pm on 4 July during a farewell ceremony for a Ukrainian defender.
