How to make cakes without flour.



These days, more and more people are opting for a healthy diet and trying to eliminate foods from their diet that can negatively affect their health. One of these foods is flour. However, avoiding flour does not mean giving up your favourite desserts. Here are three delicious and healthy flourless cake recipes.

Flourless chocolate cake

Ingredients:

  • 200g dark chocolate
  • 200g butter
  • 4 eggs
  • 200 g sugar
  • 50g cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp. vanilla extract

Preparation:

  • Preheat the oven to 180 degrees. Line a baking tin with parchment paper.
  • Melt the chocolate and butter in a water bath until smooth.
  • In another bowl whisk the eggs and sugar until fluffy. Add the vanilla extract and cocoa powder and mix well.
  • Gradually add the chocolate mixture to the egg mixture, mixing gently.
  • Pour the batter into the cake tin and bake for 25-30 minutes. Allow the cake to cool before serving.

Flourless meringue cake

Ingredients:

  • 4 egg whites
  • 200g sugar
  • 1 tsp. lemon juice
  • 1 tsp. starch
  • 200ml whipping cream
  • Fruits for decoration

Preparation:

  • Preheat the oven to 120 degrees. Line a baking dish with parchment paper.
  • Whisk the egg whites until soft peaks form, gradually adding the sugar until the meringue is thick.
  • Add the lemon juice and starch and whisk for a couple of minutes more.
  • Place the meringue on parchment in a circle and bake for 1.5 hours. Then turn off the oven and allow the meringue to cool inside with the door closed.
  • Whip the cream until stiff and spread over the cooled meringue. Decorate the cake with fresh fruit.

Cheesecake cake based on nuts and flourless Danish pasta

Ingredients:

  • 200 g nuts (almonds, hazelnuts or walnuts)
  • 200 g Danish pasta
  • 500g mascarpone cheese
  • 200 ml whipping cream
  • 100g icing sugar
  • Vanilla

Preparation:

  • Chop the nuts in a blender, add the Danish paste and blend thoroughly. You should have a coarse mass.
  • Place the mixture into a baking tin, spreading it out evenly over the bottom of the tin, creating a base for the cake.
  • Whisk the mascarpone, cream, icing sugar and vanilla until smooth.
  • Spread this mixture over the hazelnut and Danish paste base, spread evenly.
  • Place the cake in the refrigerator for a few hours or overnight.
