The Novoye Vremya published the stories of Ukrainian pilots Ivan Pepelyashko and Aleksey Chizh, who, with the assistance of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, were released from Russian captivity.

For our pilots, the place of detention was changed several times, in the end they were taken to the pre-trial detention center in the city of Kursk, where they were in a cell with eight more Ukrainian officers.

Ivan Pepelyashko says that, despite serious injuries, most Ukrainians do not receive basic medical care:

The guys are holding on, but most of the wounds have begun to fester. They asked the Russians to give at least bandages and brilliant green, to take care of the most difficult ones. But in vain.

On the day of the reception, the workers of the pre-trial detention center took all the things from the prisoners, down to the crosses. There is no God here, they said. I don't want to say such big words. But it seems to me that if there is hell on earth, it is the Kursk pre-trial detention center,” Ivan Pepelyashko tells NV, lying in a hospital bed in a Kiev military hospital, where he ended up after his dismissal.

"There is no God here," the Russians said to Ukrainian prisoners taking away their crosses

Ivan Pepelyashko and Aleksey Chizh were taken prisoner on March 8 near the village of Novaya Basan, Chernihiv region.

They really are zombies! They ask if there are many "Natsiks" in Ukraine. They repeat that they want to liberate Ukraine from the Nazis. That we will soon live in one country again, and Poland will take Galicia. Just fucked up some ... ", - said Pepelyashko

In captivity, exhausting interrogations were constantly carried out. Aleksey Chizh recalls that each interrogation traditionally began with Putin’s propaganda about the fact that Lenin invented Ukraine:

They were forced to record propaganda videos. If they refused, they threatened that they would stop bandaging the wounds of their comrades. They said that they would cut off the infected parts, cut them off piece by piece. They mentioned our families and the danger that threatens them.

Russians admit their Blitzkrieg failed

Russian officers, even during interrogations, admitted that their "blitzkrieg" failed and their goals could not be achieved.
