The SBU detained the Russian agent who wanted to create Mykolayiv People's Republic

The former deputy of the city council of Nikolaev was preparing for the arrival of the Russian world. On the instructions of the Russian special services, he developed the concept of the "Nikolaev People's Republic", which was supposed to "join" Russia in the future.

The man prepared a documentary, legal and socio-political justification for the creation of a fake republic within the region.

According to the documents confiscated from him during the search, the Mykolaiv region was supposed to declare its withdrawal from the jurisdiction and state-administrative composition of Ukraine, proclaiming itself the “MPR”.

The enemy promised the agent one of the leading positions in the event of the capture of the area.
