The European Union lifted part of the sanctions against Yanukovych, Pshonka and their sons


Excluded from the list of persons subject to EU sanctions: Viktor Yanukovych, Viktor Pshonka, Alexander Yanukovych, Artem Pshonka.
This is stated in the published decision of the EU Council
On March 5, 2014, the Council of the EU adopted Regulatory Decision No. 208/2014. Based on the review carried out by the Council of the EU, in respect of the four persons for whom the period for applying restrictive measures expired on 6 September 2022, and information on their rights to a defense and the right to an effective judicial remedy, should be deleted from Annex I to Regulation No 208 / 2014, the document says.
Thus, from the list of persons subject to EU sanctions for misuse of budgetary funds or for related official abuses, the following are excluded:
- Victor Yanukovich;
- Victor Pshonka;
- Alexander Yanukovych;
- Artem Pshonka.
