A Ukrainian man's image wins one of the most prestigious photo awards
Yevgeniy Maloletka documented a bombed maternity hospital in Mariupol.

According to the organizers, Ukrainian photographer Yevhen Maloletka has become one of the four global winners of the prestigious World Press Photo award.
His photo of Mariupol maternity hospital bombed by the Russians was recognized by the jury as the Photo of the Year.
According to the Jury, this picture reflects absurdity and horror of the war. It is an accurate reflection of the events of the year and evidence of war crimes committed by Russian troops against Ukrainian civilians. The image appears as a deeply painful historical fact and draws attention to the murder of future generations of Ukrainians. ...The jury hopes that the world will stop and acknowledge the unbearable realities of this war and reflect on the future of Ukraine.
