Recall that Moldova will support sanctions against Russia, which the EU intends to extend. After all, the status of a candidate for the European Union implies a manifestation of solidarity with European countries.
To this, Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev said that the Kremlin is not going to delay in responding to such a decision by Moldova.
In turn, the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Dmitry Kuleba, expressed solidarity with Moldova against the background of the Kremlin's threats because of the government's desire to impose sanctions against Russia.
Recall that on June 23, at the summit of EU leaders, it was decided to grant Ukraine and Moldova the status of candidates for membership. However, both countries must fulfill a number of requirements in order to confirm this status.
