Berdyansk resident passed on information about Ukrainian pilots to the enemy.



A resident of Berdyansk disclosed to the enemy information about Ukrainian graduates of a flying university defending Ukraine in the ranks of the Armed Forces on his own initiative.

This was reported by the Prosecutor-General's Office.

Under the supervision of the Zaporizhzhya regional prosecutor's office, a citizen of Ukraine has been declared suspected of treason (part 2 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

According to the investigation, a resident of Berdyansk, a former graduate of a Ukrainian military flying institute, decided to participate in activities directed against Ukraine after the occupation of his city by the aggressor.

The suspect contacted a former classmate who now commands the 52nd Heavy Bomber Aviation Regiment of the Russian Federation stationed in the village of Shaikovka to transmit information about the Ukrainian defence forces.

This air regiment, in particular, is suspected ofle for shelling being responsiban apartment building in Dnipro and a shopping centre in Kremenchuk.

The accused collected information about former classmates and other flying school graduates who are currently resisting military aggression in the ranks of the Ukrainian Armed Forces or are reserve officers.

He transmitted the data collected about them via messengers, including contact numbers, places of residence and service. The occupants needed such intelligence information to organise attacks on the AFU air force bases.

Investigators of the SBU directorate in the Zaporizhzhya Region are now conducting a special pre-trial investigation into the criminal case.
