- Russia hits Zaporizhzhya: many injured, there are casualties

The Russian Armed Forces resumed strikes with KABs on Zaporizhzhya.
On Tuesday, 22 April, Russian troops launched a series of guided bomb strikes on Zaporizhzhya. According to the latest reports, 26 people were wounded, including four children. One woman, 69 years old, was killed. About it reported in social networks the Chairman of the Zaporozhye regional military administration Ivan Fedorov.
According to the head of the Zaporozhye OVA, the injured children - aged 3, 4, 14 and 16 years - are in hospital in a state of average severity.
As the head of the OVA noted, one of the bombs hit a residential block of flats, the other - an infrastructure facility. As a result, the building was seriously damaged and several cars were completely burnt. Rescue services continue to work on the site, eliminating the consequences of the attack.

According to the State Emergency Situations Service of Ukraine, the attack partially destroyed several nine-storey houses, damaged an educational institution and burnt out parked cars. Rescue work and evacuation of residents from the affected buildings are continuing at the site.
It has been preliminarily established that the strike was carried out by high-explosive bombs equipped with a universal planning and correction module (UMPC), which in Ukraine are referred to by the abbreviation KAB. Such guided munitions are actively used by Russian aviation to attack frontline cities and civilian infrastructure.
