on 1 July, the Russian Federation plans to finish the construction of a storage facility for tactical nuclear weapons in Belarus.

On 1 July, Russia will complete construction of a storage facility for tactical nuclear weapons on the territory of Belarus, Russian President Vladimir Putin said on Russia 24.

According to him, Aleksandr Lukashenka has long requested that Russian tactical nuclear weapons be placed on the territory of Belarus. Putin said that Russia will not officially hand over weapons to Belarus, but "will place its own on the territory of a foreign country.

It is known that Russia has already helped Lukashenko to refurbish the planes in the conditions of the transfer of these weapons, 10 types of aircraft are ready to use this type of weapon, and training of crews will begin on 3 April.

It should be noted that Russian troops are actually permanently stationed on the territory of Belarus. Putin will now use the territory of another country to deploy his nuclear weapons.

Amid the lack of major achievements of the Russian army in the war against Ukraine, threats and hints of the use of nuclear weapons are increasingly heard in Moscow.

Let us add that tactical nuclear weapons (TNWs), which differ from strategic ones in low power and use at a relatively short distance, have a power of several kilotons, and often have a power of less than one kiloton (the atomic bomb that killed about 146,000 people in Hiroshima had a power of 15 kilotons).
