Russia attacks Ukraine with missiles produced as early as this year

Russia carried out another massive shelling of Ukraine on the night of 28 April. Twenty-three missiles were fired, and 21 were shot down by the Ukrainian air defence. Russia used X-101/Kh-555 missiles.

According to journalists, there was at least one X-101 missile in the salvo, made already this year, the first quarter to be exact.

"Defense Express" reports that this is not the first such incident. During one of the firings, in February 2023, the Russians also used a missile made in the first quarter. That missile did not explode then.

It is likely that Russia will reduce the intensity of firing again for some time to stockpile its missiles.
