The resolution could be approved as early as the beginning of 2023, when the House of Representatives - which has a Republican majority - meets.

This was reported by The Washington Post.

Republican members of the House of Representatives have called for an audit of US military aid to Ukraine.

The resolution demanding the audit was proposed by former US President Donald Trump's supporter Marjorie Taylor-Green, who had previously criticized the decision of the Joe Biden administration to provide Ukraine with large-scale military and economic support.

At the same time, it is worth noting that the resolution, as such, does not deprive Ukraine of either current or future funding.

The resolution may be approved as early as in early 2023, when the House of Representatives, which was renewed during the November elections, will convene - the majority of its members are Republicans.
