Volodymyr Zelensky has submitted bills to the Verkhovna Rada to extend martial law and general mobilisation for 90 days.

The Verkhovna Rada committee on national security, defence and intelligence at a meeting on 7 May approved bills on extending martial law and general mobilization for 90 days. This was reported by MP Yaroslav Zheleznyak.

The Committee on national security approved at its meeting #11235 and #11236 on the extension of martial law and general mobilisation for 90 days. Accordingly, starting from 14 May - until 11 August 2024, - wrote the MP.

He noted that tomorrow the Verkhovna Rada should approve these bills. Since the beginning of the full-scale war it will be the eleventh extension of martial law and general mobilisation.

Yesterday, President Volodymyr Zelensky submitted to the Verkhovna Rada bills on the extension of martial law and general mobilisation. They provide for the extension of martial law and mobilisation in Ukraine from 14 May to 11 August 2024.

Ukraine imposed martial law on 24 February 2022 after Russia launched a full-scale invasion. The Verkhovna Rada extended martial law 10 times.

Earlier Socialportal reported that the new rules of mobilisation came into force from 4 May 2024. Some innovations have been in force since April, and on 18 May a whole range of new rules will come into force.

We will remind, from 18 May, all men aged 18-60 years old must update their data in the TCK and SP.
