Ukrainian companies have until 28 February to re-confirm their critical status in order to book employees.

Otherwise, workers may lose their deferrals. This was reported by MP Dmytro Kisilevskyy, a member of the parliamentary committee for economic development. He noted that the revision of the rules was due to cases of abuse. Some enterprises, having received the status of critical, sharply increased the number of employees or reduced wages to the minimum level.

Now there are about 20 thousand critical enterprises in Ukraine. No significant change in their list is expected, but the number of such companies may decrease.

The right to book employees has:

  • state and local authorities;
  • companies with state defence orders;
  • enterprises critical for the economy and life support.

In addition, the compulsory military medical commission may be cancelled for some of the Ukrainians subject to military service who have the status of "restricted fit". This was announced by the deputy head of the Office of the President Iryna Vereshchuk. The Verkhovna Rada plans to register the relevant draft laws soon.
