Putin spoke with Macron and Scholz about Ukraine
Putin said that Russia is ready to continue negotiations with Ukraine.
On Saturday, May 28, Russian President Vladimir Putin had a telephone conversation with French President Emmanuel Macron and Federal Chancellor of Germany Olaf Scholz. During the conversation, Putin said that Russia was ready to continue negotiations with Ukraine. At the same time, he said that the negotiations were suspended allegedly at the initiative of the Ukrainian delegation. It is said on the Kremlin website.
Special attention is paid to the state of affairs on the negotiation track, which is frozen due to the fault of Kyiv. Vladimir Putin confirmed the openness of the Russian side to the resumption of the dialogue, the report says.
Putin also told Macron and Scholz that he sees the danger that Ukraine is being "pumped" with Western weapons , because this "destabilizes the situation and exacerbates the humanitarian crisis."
At the same time, the head of the Kremlin announced the establishment of a "peaceful life" in Mariupol, destroyed and captured by the Russians, and other cities of the Donetsk and Luhansk regions, which are under occupation.
